BENT. Circuit Bending 2004
With Limor Garcia.
Circuit bending is the art of ripping apart electronic
toys and turning them into sound/music-making devices. The process
of circuit-bending involves taking cheaply available electronic
soundmaking toys and adding extra wires, knobs and switches to make
new connections between parts of the internal circuitry and chips.
For a week, The
Tank in New York City organized a series of workshops, exhibitions,
talks and performances to bring artists, hobbyists and curious together.
