    Noah Baumbach, born to a Jewish father and a Protestant mother, attended Brooklyn’s MidwoodHigh School and graduated in 1987. He then studied BA in English at VassarCollege in 1991. For a while, he was employed at The New Yorker magazine as a messenger.

     He started writing and directing when he was 26 for the movie Kicking and Screaming in 1995. This movie is a comedy flick about four men refusing to go on living their lives after graduating from college. The lead stars of the movie are Josh Hamilton and Chris Eigeman along with Carlos Jacott. It was premiered at the NY Film fair in 1995.
