    Paul alter was an American game show host and director, who is famous for his shows like family feud (the original version), the price is right, what is my line and to tell the truth being a few of them. Mr. alter was born on March 11, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois. He is mostly remembered as the director of game shows produced by Mark Goodson Productions. He started his career as a director in 1950 in the famous show beat the clock; this was the original CBS version. Not many people know that he was a talented musician a skill that was very tactfully used in his own composition, a theme for his show to tell the truth. Mr. Alter received 11 Emmy nominations, as well as won one for family feud in the year 1982. He retired in 2000, after he was relieved of his association from the price is right. He died under natural circumstances on June 11, 2011 aged 89 years.
