    Spencer Tracy

     

    Spencer Bonaventure Tracy was one of those Hollywood stars that was widely recognized for his style and versatility and became one of the renowned stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age. He was born on April 5, 1900. His career spanned for about 37 years and received two Academy Awards for Best Actor although he was nominated for nine. He was married to Louise Tracy when he passed away on June 10, 1967. At that time, Katharine Hepburn was also his partner.

    He was able to develop a name for himself and worked in about 75 films. The American Film Institute ranked him as one of the top ten legends of Hollywood in 1999. He craved for excitement in his life and by the time he was eighteen, he enrolled in the Navy. After completing graduation, he joined a stock company but he was unhappy there. He landed a role in Broadway and from there he started his career in the entertainment industry.
