    Vanessa Redgrave

     

    Vanessa Redgrave is an English actress involved on stage, television and screen and is also a political activist. She was born on January 30, 1937. Her first rise to fame was when she played the role of Rosalind in Shakespeare’s ‘As You Like It’ with the Royal Shakespeare Company. After this she landed more than 35 roles in Broadway and London’s West End and also won Olivier and Tony Awards. She has also starred in about 80 films and a few of them are The Devils, Blowup, Atonement, Howards End. She is the only British actress to have won the Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Golden Globe, Cannes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

    She has been married twice in her life and is currently married to Franco Nero. She has three children. Her next film is ‘Foxcatcher’ in which she stars with Steve Carell and Channing Tatum. She has also been honored with a BAFTA Fellowship for her contribution to the film industry.
