    Shirley MacLaine

     

    Shirley MacLean Beaty was born on April 24, 1934. She is an American film actress, dancer, singer, activist, a theater actress and an author. She was married to Steve Parker from 1954-1982 before they got a divorce. She has one child named Sachi Parker. In the year 2012, she received the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award by the American Film Institute and in 2013, she received the Kennedy Center Honors.

    While promoting her book ‘I’m All Over That’ in April 2011, she revealed on the Oprah Winfrey Show that she and her husband shared an open relationship. She has been doing wonderful work in the industry since 1955. Her first movie was ‘The Trouble With Harry’. She continued to do film after film until her recent work in ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ in which she played the role of Edna Mitty. She has received awards for many of her works.
