    Stanley Kubrick

     

    Stanley Kubrick is an American screenwriter, cinematographer, editor, director and producer who was born on July 26, 1928. he used to live in the United Kingdom and therefore he mostly worked as an expatriate. Most of his films were modifications of short stories or novels and they received acclaim for their attention to detail, which made the movies realistic in nature. He covered a variety of genres including romance, horror, war, science fiction, black comedies, etc. He was well known for being a perfectionist.

    After he finished graduation, he started his career by being a photographer. During this time he taught himself details about film production. His first film was on a very tight budget after which he came out with Spartacus and that became a Hollywood blockbuster. He died on March 7, 1999 owing to a heart attack. He was married thrice and his last wife was Christiane Harlan whom he was still married to when he died.
