    Omar Hashim Epps, an American actor, songwriter, rapper and record producer, born (July 20, 1973) in Brooklyn, New York, was in the rap group Wolfpack before starting his career in acting. At the age of 10, he wrote short stories, poetry and songs and attended La Guardia school of Music & art and performing arts. His debut feature film was Juice, a violent story of a troubled youth. He starred in Deadly Voyage and bagged the Best actor award at the Monte Carlo television festival. He played a role on Major League II and acted in a role in television drama ER.  He other movies he starred are Scream 2, First time felon, The Mod squad, the wood, In too deep and  Love  & Basketball. He played supporting roles in Dracula 2000, Big Trouble and a lead role in Brother. He played the role of drug dealer in Against the Ropes. His role as doctor in the drama series House has earned him NAACP image Award in 2007, 2008 and 2013 for his role as outstanding Supporting actor in a drama series.
