Facts of life
Ernest Borgnine was born on January 24, 1917. He was a well known American film and a television actor. His parents were Anna and Camillo Borgnino. Both of them migrated to United States from Carpi and Ottiglio. But both of them were separated when Ernest was only two years old and after that he and his mother stayed in Italy. In the year 1923, the name of his family changed from Borgnino to Borgnine and settled in North Haven, Connecticut where he did his school life. Borgnine joined the Navy of United States in the year 1935 after his graduation from James Hillhouse High School. In the year 2004, he received the honorary rank of Chief Petty Officer for the support given to the navy and the naval families settled worldwide. Borgnine made a debut in the TV series in the year 1951 and in the year 2009, Borgnine nominated for the Emmy award for his best performances.
