    Maurice Jarre

    Winning an Oscar in your very first Hollywood mega venture is not a feat achieved by everyone but Maurice Jarre accomplished it with Lawrence of Arabia. He lent his talents surprise the viewers in the movie that became a legend.

    Some of his other memorable films were Doctor Zhivago, another classic that still haunts us with its eerie and heart wrenching music. Jarre has had a very promising career in music and has worked with prominent directors and musicians. He is also a recipient of the Hollywood Walk of Fame star that added a new feather in his crown.

    Jarre was an excellent composer who mainly used percussion as his main instrument in bringing out soulful music. Some other movies that he worked on were Ghost and Fatal Attraction. For the former, he was a frontrunner towards winning an Oscar. The audience saw Maurice Jarre’s last piece of work in the 2001 film Uprising after which he passed away in 2009
