John Huston – The Artistic Director Of American Origin

John Huston’s full name was John Marcellus Huston and he was born in Nevada, Missouri, US on 5th August 1906. This American film director was even credited for his screenwriting and acting. Consequently he wrote most of the feature films that he directed and the total number of feature films directed by him is thirty seven. He’s perhaps the only director who directed both his father and daughter in Oscar winning different films. In his career of 46 years he got 15 Oscar nominations out of which he won two.

He came from an educational background of fine art painting that he underwent in Paris and hence tried to implement that artistic vision in all his directional work which essentially brought many classic creations out of him. His writing career began to flourish while he was in Mexico and wrote the play Frankie and Johnny which got sold quickly and since then he never had a take look back with regard to writing as a viable career option.
